Seeking To Write My Own Stories Scholar 09/17/2019 (Tue) 15:53:59 No.16
Newfag here.

I'm wanting to get into writing fiction and even fanfiction as a hobby, but I also want to put my own works on PDF, particularly the original stuff.

Any tips on how to convert Word documents to PDF's? Are there any free or open-source PDF maker programs out there?

Pic unrelated.

Just so we're clear, I'm mainly wanting to write the original fiction as PDF's.

I can post the fan fiction on some other site.
LibreOffice's Writer can export files as pdfs. I'm sure there are others. I use LibreOffice to keep my resume up to date.

Thanks

just so we're clear, M$ doesn't follow it's own published document standard to intentionally be incompatible with other programs. So don't expect good conversions from Office created docs. In that case simply export directly from Word. Otherwise, create the documents originally in LibreOffice.

Scrivener is a fantastic tool, if you want to get into writing complex stuff, I strongly recommend it.

Microsoft word allows you to save your documents as pdfs.
Print as pdf.
