Starts off with some Jedi in hiding after Order 66. Seems they've done a good job of it so far, other than the clones they had on their tail. Nonetheless- being jedi, they make pretty quick work of them now that they know who their enemy is. Meanwhile, Vader really wants to know where the fuck Obi-wan ran off too.

Palps reminds our boy Darth that the Jedi are now too few in number to pose any real threat, and that the real danger to their rule is yet to come. Meanwhile, some Jedi meet up in the galaxy's most famous crack mines as part of some asinine scheme to kill the Emperor. Amid some debate about whether or not one can use the dark side without being evil, turns out the crazy bitch who called the meeting invited Darth Vader- making that whole staying hidden thing kinda hard and leaving them with no choice but to fight or more likely, die horribly. >>1492 It's a bit of a short one, but it was a good one.

We get the first casualty of mad bitch's plan to trap and kill Darth Vader. Turns out jebaiting a angry burn victim wasn't such a good idea after all. Not really much to say, other than the Jedi accept their impending death. Other than the crazy one who thought it was a good idea to tell the imperials they were there. Oh no, she's got a cortosis blade.

Unluckily for him, he gets stabbed through the chest with the cortosis blade and fucking dies- with his only legacy being a toy that hasbro would later bundle with the comic. Oh, by the way Jedi- big man still wants to know where Kenobi is. They obviously don't, so they end up dead after pelting Vader with rocks and getting hosed with blaster fire from the clone unit that just arrived.

Turns out the clones were sent by the emperor after learning of his disobedience. Luckily for Vader, said disobedience proved useful to Palps. Even though he didn't kill all the Jedi, the idea that he did is pretty useful for driving any other survivors deeper into hiding and out of the empire's way. And that's it, only thing left is the signature of the guy who scanned the comic.

And there it is- first storytime of the year.

Alright, Star Wars: Empire #1 coming right up!

So it begins with Vader apparently training/evaluating a squad of stormtroopers. Seems like that mask guy from the Ghost Prison comic is here too. We get to see him taking orders from the emperor, and a flashback from Vader about his past.

After the small flashback, it cuts back to Vader meeting with the Emperor and being given a mission to track down and kill an apparent Jedi survivor that's taken up vigilante duty. Meanwhile, an imperial officer gets yeeted for questioning Trachta's brainwashing technique for stormtroopers.

Vader gets reminded of his place as Sith lord by Palps, who seems to imply that the rogue Jedi could be anything from a child of an exiled Jedi to Skywalker's own child. Looks like Trachta's planning a coup against the Emperor and Vader, as he doesn't to be a fan of the whole mystic death cult thing. Even managed to get a fair few others in on his plan as well. fucked this post up, other one should be deleted now

The Star Destroyer Vader is using for his little Jedi hunt is now preparing to leave Coruscant. The captain gets choked for doubting the necessity of using an Imperial Star Destroyer for going after a single target, and it's made clear that he is easily disposable for the purposes of this mission. Questioning the order's of the Emperor himself is a pretty bad idea. Trachta's anti-Sith coup has support, but whether or not anyone in it can really be trusted is another question. More Vader flashbacks too, Anakin still isn't quite sure whether joining the Sith was a good idea it seems- not like he has any other choice now.

And the story really starts going right as the the issue ends.

I knew I was forgetting something.

Alright, so time to pick up where we left off. Vader's Star Destroyer picks up a rebel distress call, so obviously being good Imperials- they pick up the ship and prepare to take the crew as prisoners. One problem- said rebel scum vessel is empty. Perhaps Trachta and the rest of his coup buddies are behind this?

And whaddya know, it's a trap.

Naturally, Vader is pretty fuckin' pissed. Suspecting the crew of the that ship simply moved to another one- he orders his people to find it. Meanwhile, the plot continues.

There's an attempted assassination of the Emperor, and Vader found the rebel ship.

So after that attempt on his life, the emperor get's some new guards to replace the ones that got blown to bits as well as trace who planted the bomb to begin with. And the captain of the star destroyer gets murdered.

Vader decides to go down alone, and the intrigue on coruscants gets pretty heated.

Don't fuck with the sith, bad idea you see.
