>remaking games that are already in HD and widescreen the absolute state
>>562 Well, you can't just expect the Jew world order to leave anything untainted by pozz, now can you Anon?
>>565 But they're remaking games now that are so recent they were already pozzed to begin with...
>tfw video games died a long time ago
They will start remaking PS4 era games soon. Screencap this.

I can understand to some extent the justification of remaking a game from one genre into another genre, it at least becomes its own thing. Like FF7 remake or something - you're certainly paying money for a completely different and new experience, whether for good or worse become a demagogy. But boy is it fucking dumb to just remake games 1:1 for a marginal graphical update. Here, that's 70 bucks goy. What are you even paying for? Graphics? You can't buy some new original AAA game with graphics?
>>1059 >you can't buy some new AAA games with graphics That's the problem, nu-AAA are shit and AAA knows it. So they re-release stuff. People are too stupid to figure out how to do things anymore. We can't make videogames, we can't make movies, we can't figure out how to get back to the moon. Doing anything in congress besides Great Reset shit takes eons. Nu-America is the "Can't Do" nation. The only thing they know how to do is ruin your life.
>>1062 >That's the problem, nu-AAA are shit They're shit but they have graphics, if that's what you want. Re-buying a game that's already made for a trivial graphical update is retarded.
>>1059 >1:1 They changed the story on that one, though. For the better, I can't say.
>>1062 B-but diversity is our greatest strength they told me!
>>1075 there was a story?

Imagine classic gems remade properly with new tech. Instead, we get the latest fad the industry is thinking will net them top dollar. Gaming "industry" is the cancer that killed gaming. All they shit out is mediocre sequels and uninspired rip-offs. Back in the old days, they made new games not just to add a number to it and sell you the same shit over and over again.
>>2749 I always wanted to be 6th gen games but with next gen graphics, a very few early 7th gen games were kinda like that but sadly most series were turning into either open world shit or cinematic shit at that point.
How common is this though? Only ones I can think of are Dead Space and The Last of Us.
>>2810 >Demon Souls >Yakuza Isshin Some other stuff I'm missing. You can even count RE4 here as well as it was widescreen even on PS2 and HD on PC. That's already 5-6 games in close succession. You think they're just gonna stop? And this isn't going to become a thing? It's already a thing. Expect more and more 7th gen games to get pointless remakes as it's hitting on that 10 years mark which is ancient retro to zoomers.

>>2895 >Bloodborne is just 7 years old >still looks better than most current games >they are remaking it It's over.
If they're seriously numaking Bloodborn the floodgates have been opened.
>>2895 what's next, Elden Ring remake?
>>2899 Next is numakes of games that haven't come out yet.
>>2901 Starfield remake when
>>2895 I would hope that this is because just porting the game is tied up in legal bullshit with soyny and remaking it would be a way around it. But I know what's going to happen. They're going to farm it out to a (((western dev))), the doll is going to look like a manjawed tranny, despite having better technology the game will look worse and probably throw in some performance issues that never really get fixed.

>>2906 Yeah it's gonna be exactly like the DeS numake. Probably done by the same studio too.

>have gaijin studio remake and "fix" problematic japanese games >have them replace the original on all the digital platforms, in reviews, youtube etc >let the original be completely forgotten and displaced It begins.
SKyrim remake next.

So a remaster or a remake... time will tell.
>>3036 even a remaster is retarded, what is there to remaster? It's a 7 year old game that runs in HD ffs.
>>3036 A numake. The doll will look like a tranny and at least half of the NPCs will be niggers or some other type of shitskin.
>>3076 it can be a numaster too, like tlou
>>3038 it only shows that they don't really want to take any risks either because of small userbase or because there is little profit in video games compared to last generation/or PS3 generation. I personally, think, it is because games are 70 dollars and up towards 100 dollars for super duper edition of a game, which is another story when it comes to just buying a game as entertainment and thus more people aren't buying randomly shilled games or random game 10 this year when some of them, you cannot know if it's going to be fun or just boring.
>>3096 >because there is little profit in video games compared to last generation/or PS3 generation No, video games make more money now than they ever used to.
i hate numakes
I have a theory that since most of these game studios are in California (and that being the sodomite capitol of the world r/n -- by far) that so much wokeness has entered by way of femshits, soygoys, troons, and other literal cocksuckers -- along with token browns -- that the IQ level within the studios has degraded to the point of being unsustainable for great new content. Add to that the increasing flight of the most talented pool of devs (that is, White males) from there and you have a formula where literally all the studios can do today is scarf off what little talent remains (ie, lighting); running a kindergarten class for the rest where all they expect of the woke staff is to 'stay inside the lines!'. That is, do only numakes with lots of brown paint-by-numbers. Am I just imagining this happening? I haven't been in the industry for about 15 yrs now, and where I was at it was almost all White men, with literally 1 token female, and 1 token cocksucker (and they fired it). I assume it's much different now.
>>3113 >I have a theory that since most of these game studios are in California (and that being the sodomite capitol of the world r/n -- by far) that so much wokeness has entered by way of femshits, soygoys, troons, and other literal cocksuckers -- along with token browns -- that the IQ level within the studios has degraded to the point of being unsustainable for great new content. I mean, yeah. It's not a theory but objective reality.
>>3113 >IQ level I believe many of them are smart as in having the brains to do good things, the problem is their education and point of view of the world makes them completely ignore critical theory which in turn makes them unable to engage in their full cognitive capacities, hence one of their side effects being cognitive dissonance. They are dogmatic and their gods are homosex and progressiveness (rather than progression) they tend to use pre-established formulas rather than invent new ones not because they cannot do new things but because they think it's a rule to follow. They cannot sit down and reflect on what they need to do and how to repair things, they either go full-on with their shit or scrap everything, the very few good things included, and start anew. >I assume it's much different now. Most jobs are much different now although the results might look very similar in some fields, common sense/critical theory is severely lacking and things get done on the go to avoid losing time, ironically making everyone lose time because almost no one sits down to think what they should do and make clear the conceptual rulings of the works. What's the reason for this? that's another story, it's a combination of the workers' pool being the moral and intellectual cesspool of the west (California, New York, Canada, Sweden, France) and hamfisting their way of thinking into the work fields, the executives in charge of the money being the decision makers rather than the creative directors, and of course the lack of ideals and values to do shit right for the love of the craft rather than for another payday... not saying people should sacrifice for a good game but perhaps try to push a boundary by their work quality rather than churn something out fast. AKA mountains of decentralized faggots working crunch on an full-jew/corporativist industry rather than old days of core team of engineers working relatively slow on a simply capitalist industry, after all GoldenEye was released 2 years after the movie release window to finish it well and it still is an emblem of the medium. Good stuff takes time and planning.
>>3213 >after all GoldenEye was released 2 years after the movie release window to finish it They didn't even know what they were doing, just a bunch of nerds with no experience. Nowadays games cost half a billion to develop with an army of disinterested crunch monkeys. Nobody actually wants to make games anymore, it's just business, it's no wonder remakes are starting to dominate the market - all the hard work is already done, all you need to do is just get a bunch of disinterested modelers to make new graphics.
>>3221 >Nobody actually wants to make games anymore I mean i can understand it, i want nothing to do with the career i studied after being crunched for years but i have no problem applying what i learned in other fields. Maybe all those engineers and nerds had no problem with games but the moment some dude starts to study video games he ends up hating it because he grew jaded in an academic context. I have no doubt that might be a factor, but i think them being faggots and being completely foreign from the main creative decisions which fall into the hands of purely idea guys placed via executive meddling and jews is more of a factor for not having any passion or moral obligation towards a work.
>>3222 "video game study" is the cringiest most retarded possible career suicide. Literally nobody who's ever "studied" game development made anything good.
>>3223 I disagree, you could study gender or psychological studies for more of a freak show hunger games life, but still a pretty bad choice and to be fair people back in the day thought it would've been better and more technical than Blender + social studies along with piss basic drawing courses. >nobody who's ever "studied" game development made anything good. For starters i don't think any course about game development was any good because it's too broad, but as it is i agree, i don't think any dude who went into that made something out of himself or his company via his "studies". I still believe engineers who applied cool tech into games were the crucial aspect of progress rather than dreamers who didn't know exactly how to apply it in software but knew perfectly what they wanted. Nowadays we have neither or extremely few to make a real difference.
>>3226 >you could study gender or psychological studies That's doesn't have any direct application, you're just some soy with a degree nobody needs. Video game studies imply you directly go to making heckin' based video games! and people should hire you for your """expertise""". >I still believe engineers who applied cool tech into games were the crucial aspect of progress rather than dreamers who didn't know exactly how to apply it in software but knew perfectly what they wanted You need both, all the best games were made with both on board.
Nooo i spent $4000 on my game studies degree, why isnt anyone buying my 2d rpg! :OO
>>3227 >You need both You only need one dreamer, the others are needed in good quantities
>>3272 you don't need two of the same engineers, you need the ones prodigious in different aspects and fields
>>3273 You kinda do if you have many different aspects to cover, like mobility in a map with varied vehicles like Conker with the platformer and tanks along with jet board. Although we can agree it doesn't need a gaming dev with the gaming diploma, that guy is a crunch dummy for the textures.
>>3279 >you need the ones prodigious in different aspects and fields
