yeah, so with movies they have a staff of people but they don't have like 200 to 500 people working on a game.
The Diablo 4 end credits is insane to look watch.

Sometimes they add marketing in there but sometimes they do not even disclouse what they've used on marketing.
So diversity hires is a real thing, I don't know if you know that one IGN whore, that later became a twitch streamer and for some reason ended up at Sony Santa Monica studio, her end credit? it was in the latest God of War game, and it had literally nothing to do with anything useful like design, art, programming or sound but handicapped accessibility. I am not shitting on you, this is real life, they are hiring people for made up roles like handicapped accessibility, there have been accessibility but that is more for people that are color blind or something nonsensical.
Also, they have allot of talented programmers and artist working on the games today but what takes so long is rather dumb, or retarded. Like because the games are open world or open levels, that means there are going to be allot of unforeseeable glitches, bugs and other random stuff going on.in that open world.
Also, don't forget that these games uses allot of random nonsensical technology in the engine that has not really anything to do with gameplay, it is just there because they've said to themselves it is going to be more realistic.
And they believe in that nonsense of realism and then forget that their whole game is other than realistic.
So there is allot of corruption, nonsensical stuff and diversity hires going on to make the games being more and more expensive.
To be fair, there have been people trying to make a classical-like games but they've taken as much time but with the fraction of the people. But you hear Gen Z and other people complaining because it isn't "modern enough" and that is kinda the problem, people expect to have their hands being held at every moment.
