Far Cry is 20 years old Anonymous 07/03/2023 (Mon) 05:38:42 No.4147
Feel old yet?
evil(non-whites and women) can't create anything good, they can only corrupt and destroy what is good. Can't wait for God to delete non-whites and women.
>>4147 Why is Far cry popular again?
>>4152 Now? that is because of marketing and people really loving the ubisoft formula when it comes to a sandbox game. Which is different from original far cry, in original far cry you just so happen to be on an island, you just so happen to needing to plan out how to take out a base or whatever, but the game was fun but it was a stupid action movie inspired. you must remember that games before was inspiried by these shitty action movies that had arnold schwarzenegger.
>>4157 I mean why it became the AssCreed of FPS in the first place? It was a generic FPS on an island.
Yeah I feel fucking old, Metroid prime was also 20 years ago.
>>4159 >all these games are now older than the entirety of gaming was when they came out Feel super old yet?
>>4152 Good goys "enjoy" their open world goyslop.
>>4158 because ubisoft bought far cry IP or they got the IP from publishing cryteks first game? Also, you have ubisoft making an IP and cannot take the loss of the IP, so then they just use more capital to make more games or until it is a successful franchise.
>>4163 Yeah I keep feeling older and older, gaymergay was almost 10 years ago anon, 10 years since gayming died forever.
>>4163 >>4169 It's over.
>>4165 I thought Ubisoft developed it?
woke remake when?
>>4175 crytek was the original developers of the first game in the series, it was just an off shoot, and then they went to EA to develop and release Crysis, and Ubisoft didn't want crytek to develop the second game in the series, or the console games that ensued with after the original game. I wish, I could tell a better story about crytek but their story is quite tragic. So after Crysis 1 they where more or less forced to make console games on PS3 and 360, or make multiplat games, where the PC was a focus but not the main focus. Then they where contracted to make a kinect game that microsoft was the publisher, but that became an action adventure game called Ryse, it was their last big triple A game, they had allot of games in the works but what happened is that they bought too many studios and hired too many people, and had too many games in pre-production that they couldn't afford do have, so most of the games got canned and games that planned to use Cryengine, stopped because it was more effort to use than it was worth. So, now crytek is a former shadow of itself, the big PC player with amazing technology for PC that was a whole console generation ahead of it's time. Is now just rumble and nothing of what it's former self was.
>>4255 Everything involved with Ubisoft is shit or doomed to turn to shit.
>>4272 It's Ubishit.
>>4274 Ubisoft is literally a silver bullet to quality, along with bethesda.
>>4294 Bethesda at least used to be good. Ubisoft has always been shit.

>Vice City is 20 years old
>>4623 I want to go back bros
>>4163 >all these games are now older than the entirety of gaming was when they came out Anons... I don't like this...
>>4158 >I mean why it became the AssCreed of FPS in the first place? It was a generic FPS on an island. Because Ubisoft knew that they had a potential cashcow in their hands, all they had to was a bit of experimenting until the formula was refined enough.
>>5012 What cashcow? The original Far Cry wasn't some massive success.
>>5014 It still made enough money to justify experimenting with the idea of an open world FPS, something that barely anyone else was doing at the time. After 8 years and two sequels, they finally found the winning formula with Far Cry 3
>>5019 Seems more like they just applied open world slop to everything they had and bugmen eat it all up.
