File Restoration Thread Fellow Time Traveler Root 08/03/2020 (Mon) 16:25:17 No.730
Augh. So I accidentally the /retro/ files. Here's a thread where you can restore files. How it works Dump files that existed before on the board and they will magically get fixed. File limits? 5 files at a time, 20MB maximum.

You guys are doing great, so happy to see all these archivists on the board!
Hopefully these ones work.
>>730 Robi, /retro/ was one of the boards I had archived. I can provide you a complete copy of all the posts/files if you'd like them. You'll have to do a little scripting to perform the re-integration with the new board, but I doubt that would be much of an issue for you. >related >>>/robowaifu/4729 Just let me know if you want to proceed with that effort, and I'll zip up the entire thing and post it for you somewhere. Seems like you have a big collection here already, but I just wanted to put that out there for you.

My post is kinda off-topic, but I can't find better thread to post and I don't know whether it's worth new thread or if anyone would even reply to me... I just thought how every last remaining thing from 2000's died this year: >Windows 7 >Flash >Venture Bros It's truly depressing and it seems there's nothing worthwhile to look forward to. How should we cope besides discussing? P.S. I thought of making a thread on pre-Goolag Youtube
>>844 >How should we cope besides discussing? First step is moving on and continuing to live your life, not succumbing to the "death by nostalgia" syndrome. Second, you can revive old stuff in your own way! Who says you can't still make/view Flash content? Or create Venture Bros art? Or run Windows 7 on your existing computer(s)?.. This reminds me; apparently the source code of Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Xbox OS, and MS-DOS 6 has leaked online. https://archive.vn/KoJ2K https://archive.vn/p7ple https://archive.vn/hhOcP This gives me hope that these OS will be revived in the future, either in the form of custom distributions or emulators/virtualizers. Don't waste your time being depressed. >P.S. I thought of making a thread on pre-Goolag Youtube Go right ahead. The board ain't getting any deader.
>>844 >P.S. I thought of making a thread on pre-Goolag Youtube Please do it.
>>845 >First step is moving on and continuing to live your life, not succumbing to the "death by nostalgia" syndrome >Don't waste your time being depressed Thanks, these are the most important one and I try to do so. >create Venture Bros art The show ended on a cliffhanger so it won't do much. >his reminds me; apparently the source code of Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Xbox OS, and MS-DOS 6 has leaked online I heard about the Windows XP, but never knew more were in fact released. >This gives me hope that these OS will be revived in the future, either in the form of custom distributions or emulators/virtualizers That would be great, I hope the same will happen soon for windows 7 >>845 >>846 >Go right ahead. The board ain't getting any deader >Please do it Your wishes are my command!
>>845 >apparently the source code of Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Xbox OS, and MS-DOS 6 has leaked online. >This gives me hope that these OS will be revived in the future, either in the form of custom distributions or emulators/virtualizers. Don't waste your time being depressed. Neat. Wouldn't Microsoft come down hard on anyone doing that? Hopefully someone can come up with something different enough that there'd be no proof they used the original code as a reference.
>>853 I suppose Microsoft would do that if someone tried recreating their precious Windows 10, but ancient versions like 2000 and XP are most probably not important at all. Hell, nowadays you can find ISOs of them on public websites as opposed to before when they only existed as torrents.
