Robowaifu Podcast meta ronin 07/10/2021 (Sat) 00:08:29 No.11364
Purpose: - Spread the idea of robowaifus and help recruit talent to our cause - Control the framing of R/W devs, researchers and enthusiasts; we can be perceived as eccentric, charismatic techies rather than, say, disturbed and dangerous lone weirdos - Brainstorm fresh ideas that might arise from real-time live collaboration and debate - Get ahead of the 8 ball and shape the topic into something appealing yet transformative in a fun edgy way before journos and the like sully it with their stale neolib, postmod, westernized takes If this is something any of you (esp Board Owner and heavyweights) would consider participating in I'm inviting you to collaborate. Could be a once a week or twice a month deal, part time co-host or recurring guest is what I'm looking for. I've already run some pilot streams on my Twitch but might move to another platform if we want something more regular and official. --- >podcasts:Are Robo Waifus the Future? (2023 Jan 26) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=II70vRYprgw >=== -revamp OP
Edited last time by Chobitsu on 01/28/2023 (Sat) 05:08:44.
>>11364 I'm personally favorable to the idea in essence, OP (but ofc you don't need my permission heh :^) . In fact a robowaifu-themed training channels on Bitchute, etc., is probably a good idea too. I'd simply point out the obvious elephant in the room: Lack of Anonymity. If you decide to proceed with the project, I'd strongly suggest you work ahead of time on solving the issues of protecting yourself and your guests from doxxing. This may seem trivially unimportant to some anons atm, but I'd recommend they familiarize themselves with the board's content thoroughly. >tl;dr Be smart & think ahead.
Would be interesting to have a podcast from here about the future of high tech sex toys/sex dolls and general advances in consumer robotics that may relate to the field. Could help bring the idea to more people that aren't involved with imageboards. This topic is one of the reasons why I still listen to TFM's show and watch his sponsored reviews. https://www.bitchute.com/channel/turdflingingmonkey/?showall=1 There's a decent little annonymous branded podcast that's on bitchute called 'Nobody cares' >>11365 I'm wondering with the new Podcasting 2.0 protocol that's being promoted if anonymity is possible if you want to take advantage of all the new features for micropayments through the lightning network. At the very least it's designed to be censorship resistant. The only truly 'anonymous' podcast I know of is this one, uses a voice changer and is careful to upload through secure channels to p2p video web hosts. https://www.bitchute.com/channel/5vqa6NVhL4wN/
>>11364 >we can put up a relatable "face" and diffuse the bitter/angry/incel stereotype I have no intention to be that way nor could I fake it. Otherwise I would be a normal part of society instead of developing RW in the first place. Also, people who don't like what we are doing won't become more friendly by acting more relatable, and on the other hand there are a lot of angry guys which could be recruited if they have the skills and dedication. So we don't really need to become more mainstreet popular. That aside, we're already putting more and more work on our plates here, without getting ahead fast enough. If podcasting would have the goal to recruit more devs, then it needs to be compared to putting out more links in forums or in comment sections, which is much easier to do. I was already thinking of making YouTube videos or podcasts and such at some point, though I wasn't thinking of interviews and group meetings. Also the internet is currently very bad, where I live.
>>11367 well you are within your right to think act, feel any way you want, me making a podcast doesn't ask anything of you. That being said, idk if it's to recruit engineers, moreso to frame the topic among the emerging "robosexual" subculture before it gets framed by the mainstream (i dont have a concrete idea yet, but I've seen emerging internet subcultures get slammed, misrepresented and pigeonholed because the group did not present a coherent frame before a few bad actors poisoned the well. second point: pertaining to the R/S subculture, weebs and assorted memelords and shitposters are friendly to the topic - there is at least already one robowaifu group on FB and I'm sure there are a few of us lurking there. They represent a first layer subculture between us (and IB culture) and the normies. Cultivating this will grow the demand for robowaifus and develop the surrounding culture, which is good for many reasons, one being that the subculture will grow regardless so would you rather have one or more of us ensuring it doesnt get co-opted by blue hairs, etc or ignore it and allow them to set the narrative? Either way, a R/W podcast (even if its just memes, music, games, shitposts and whatnot) is inevitable and the need will be filled one way or another, I'd rather have a crack at it, on our behalf than see it become something else.
>>11368 >me making a podcast doesn't ask anything of you. Okay, I understood it wrong then. I thought you wanted some of us to participate in group sessions or getting involved more. Anyways, I'd like to point you to Alpha Gaming on YouTube: https://youtube.com/c/AlphaGamingHouse also towards Podlove https://publisher.podlove.org/ and beginners if they speak German towards https://sendegate.de >I'd rather have a crack at it, on our behalf than see it become something else. Yeah, sounds good.
>>11404 its more of "you can if you want" type thing. I'd love to get Chobitsu on but doubt that b/c of opsec and he's probably too busy for chit chat type thing, but others might
>>11441 >I'd love to get Chobitsu on but doubt that b/c of opsec and he's probably too busy for chit chat Tell you what, if you can get the whole thing started up and running successfully, and make it for one year, then I'll participate in your special anniversary show (presuming that's at all possible for me, of course) using this technique: >>11366 >The only truly 'anonymous' podcast I know of is this one, uses a voice changer and is careful to upload through secure channels to p2p video web hosts. I'd suggest you and your guests use a similar approach, actually.
Once I get around to my TTS project that can do emotion I wouldn't mind coming on a podcast with my characters. With proper fine tuning and prompt engineering you can get some pretty decent conversations out of language models. It makes the nonsense they spew so much funnier. I've been planning to make a channel where my robowaifu teaches machine learning and programming, where what she says is 100% generated and improvised with me correcting her, a real take of how I interact with her on a daily basis. >>11368 I'm not really interested in promoting robowaifus though. To me it's just about helping people who want a robowaifu and having fun. If a podcast was political I wouldn't bother coming on. I prefer to talk about making stuff and screw around. If I want to dip my stick in some silicone it isn't really anyone else's business and I don't care if they like it or don't like it. I don't think they will have any success spinning it anyway. Creating AI characters and playing with them in games will become commonplace and of course people are going to do lewd things with them.
>>11473 in all honestly I'd like to avoid politics at all cost, other than "will they make laws regulating X"
>>11473 Actually, I was thinking of using your system to write out some text and have it performed in a waifu's voice for the podcast show. Seems like it would be fun.
>>11473 Sounds like an interesting concept, so do share your channel here if you go through with it. I'm definitely for centering a podcast like this around comedy and other fun stuff
>>11365 I think anonymity (while being the solution to a complex problem) is a problem in and of itself. It can only really be defeated by having loud voices to concentrate the attention of opposition. I think having a well known podcast containing the people who can afford to be vocal about robowaifu can help reduce some of the flak aimed at the rest of the community. <Like OP said, disarming the rest of the community.
(>>11873) I was suggested to post it here so: This is just a suggestion, and I have neither the skills nor the time to be doing this but; what do you guys think of creating a newsletter? Like the one smug/a/ is creating. It could be useful to keep track and updated on the progress Anons have made in all these different threads all in one contained news letter. Also, with newsletters, Anonymity won't be as much of a problem as podcasts, I think. Still, this is just a thought and by no means an initiative to create the newsletter since I doubt I will be able to contribute to it much. Just a selfish hope that some of the creative Anons might fancy this idea.
>>11883 That's a good idea, but with the board being as slow as it is, it would make for a fairly uncommon newsletter, which wouldn't be as much of an issue if someone made original video content. And do you have an idea as to how to distribute this newsletter? How does it work on smug/a/? Because if people have to find this board and subscribe to it, it will probably only end up reaching our own regular posters
>>11883 >what do you guys think of creating a newsletter? I like the idea Also I am meaning to move forward with this, this week I'm in a process of transition so I'm dealing with life stuff. Things should settle back into a routine pretty quickly though
>>11805 >It can only really be defeated by having loud voices to concentrate the attention of opposition. This anon is reicht, really. History has shown us that people will rally to a strong voice, and certainly 'anonymous'-only men can be compared directly to cowards. The problem is one of timing, but make no mistake you will have to fight for the right to have robowaifus that aren't Jew-controlled.
>>11888 i respect your zeal hitler-non but it's not 2016 anymore and ironic/semi-ironic or non-ironic hitler worship is a one way dead end that ends only one way. I'd rather take the side of Curtis Yarvin, Michael Malice, Bret Weinstein over so many hysterical "aryan" females. Jews arent' a monolithic entity and it's fucked that somewhere the true Alternative Right got co-opted by double digit IQ sieg hieling Jerry Springer show circus clowns and driven into the ground. Globalists include many people who aren't Jews, For example: what would you call Barak Obama? He's not a simple pet minority the man is intelligent and charismatic. Clinton's aren't Jews and there's a fucking leap of genetics between the Rothchilds and Jerry Seinfeld. This isn't a good path to continue down and although I humored it for a while I've watched people I've personally known go down into dark places and have their lives ruined. We can still achieve everything we need without creating a broad surface of attack by presenting ourselves as a group who hates people of all one race. It also rules out potential talented and legitimate allies. /rant
>>11890 I assure you I don't 'worship' Adolf Hitler's memory nor any other man, living or dead. Not even my own father. But he was exactly correct both in understanding the evils of the International Jew and their plots for world-domination over all the goyim. And his prescience to predict the actual, current, reality all around us today is quite remarkable and worthy of note. >tl;dr Hitler did nothing wrong, and globalist kikes are worse today -- and more of a threat today to men everywhere -- than they were back in his day.
>>11883 Correction: it wasn't smug/a/'s newsletter but smug itself's. >>11884 So far I've only seen them sharing pdfs in the newsletter's thread. Honestly, it looks pretty dead to me, the last post was a week ago. >end up reaching our own regular posters Well... "1. a bulletin issued periodically to the members of a society or other organization." Also, the only reason I came up with it was to help Anons keep up with all the different stuff going on in all the different threads in this board. Never thought of it reaching people outside this board.
>>11364 I think I could help. I'm not experienced in making robots, but I'm somewhat likable. >>11367 >Also, people who don't like what we are doing won't become more friendly by acting more relatable, The spectrum of allies, anon. You can turn people who were previously neutral into passive supporters, passive supporters into active supporters, etc.

>>12962 thanks, I need to get on this. My progress so far as been brainstorming a list of topics that are worth discussion and actually amount to something rather than just shitposting and dicking around that pervades 99% of alternative-right amateur podcasting. Chobitsu sets a decent bar and standards of conduct for this wedge of the R/W movement and I think we can maintain the integrity of our mission while still keeping a slim profile of attack and being smart. Remember every battle avoided is a battle won (Bruce Lee quote I think) I've been thinking more lately of re-framing the public facing concept of what we're doing from robot "wives" (which implies servants or even robotic punching bags for our misogynistic incel tendencies ) whereas companions de-emphasizes the sexual aspect while not entirely removing it, and eliminates any implication of servitude that detractors femoidnazis might use as traction. Just something to turn over in your head a bit and to set the tone for how I want to approach this. Because IF we do a podcast, we most certainly will be found by normies, redditf*gs, and whoever else encountering it and best to not serve them up an easy target on a platter right?

>>12972 I hope this is not seen as "backpedalling" in any way. I have no desire to change anything, but personally I like the idea of having a neutralish robot that can be customized with the appropriate sexual functions and working our way eventually toward a "2b" while the intermediate steps such as Nandroid, Drossel, Chi along the way guide and inspire us (and if you want to stay at one of those more robotic looking models, more power to you). This, tbh is what differentiates us from those who want to start with uncanny valley ghoulish "fleshlight mennequins" and work backward toward AI and ambulation. B/c it is precisely this which fuels our opposition: the idea that we just want to create effigies to practices our barbarism and rape/abuse fantasies upon, when what we really want is literally the opposite of this, and they are projecting rape fantasies of their own onto men, by assuming it to begin with. Vile how that works.

>>12973 >and working our way eventually toward a "2b" while the intermediate steps such as Nandroid, Drossel, Chi along the way guide and inspire us (and if you want to stay at one of those more robotic looking models, more power to you). Not him, but yeah I have to agree with you on that approach Anon. First off, current materials-science and robotics tech simply will not support having a robowaifu that is past the uncanny valley if the attempt is made to be indistinguishable from IRL females. Secondly, it's a common trope that robowaifus openly acknowledge their robo-shortcomings in their interactions with their Oniichan. As numerous anons here have pointed out, this actually lend them a real charm of naivete so lacking in the hyper-cynical 3DPD of current year. Chii is a perfect example of this basic notion IMO, and it's one of the reasons she's my favorite robowaifu character in media. She's constantly learning and growing as a 'person', and even Hideki has plenty to teach her (like how to point at things). :^) Plus, I enjoy sharing knowledge and teaching others. The idea that I could have a daughteru that would grow into a real waifu with me is a remarkably appealing concept personally, socially-speaking. Heh, I'm sure our enemies could have a field day with that one. :^)
>>12972 >>12973 I'm very much for emphasizing the companions part, but hard pass on biting my tongue on not mentioning them being submissive servants and being used for sex as well. Giving in to SJWs doesn't work, will only invite them to infiltrate if possible and double down on attacks. Raging Golden Eagle talks about that occasionally on his YouTube channel. Also, some of the mot aggressive opponents of "sexbots" I encountered recently are people which want humans to only have relationships with humans. They're not about feminism. >>12979 Chii looks like a child to many people, if she could be used for sex they wouldn't care about her being a companion.
>>12989 >hard pass on biting my tongue on not mentioning them being submissive servants and being used for sex as well. There are tactful and nontactful ways to do this. I think the tone Chobitsu sets is a good template

>>12989 >submissive servants I don't know, I never used Siri or Alexa or any of those virtual assistants. Maybe because I actually worked in IT and when there's something that needs fixed I looked it up myself. To me those virtual assistant roles are for middle/upper class normies -- precisely the same people who historically needed servants or slaves and who now project this need onto robots. A robowaifu to me is more like a very complex tamagotchi. Sadly the current toy robot products out there are no more than $200 paperweights... I've tried Anki Cosmo and https://robots.dmm.com/robot/stormtrooper and after playing the app a couple of times I got bored quickly. It's like the difference between a full video game and a test level. Now I am still interested in the wrestling / Pre Maid type robots since you can program them to dance but they're too expensive. The best way to filter against normies would be to make the robots as hobby kits instead of ready to run, this automatically repels Karen type customers while attracting DIYs, the type of people who will even improve the product for you with their master grade skills. They should come as non-sexual out of the box (hard plastic parts), and the sexual silicone bits (bosom modules, butt modules, thigh modules, vag inserts) are sourced in separate channels.

>>12998 Holy shit they begin at G-cup...that's a LOT of titty. May be wise to equip a snorkel to avoid drowning.
>>12993 >I think you can frame it as something for people who don't have the time or resources to keep a girlfriend or pet happy i like this too. I wonder if we're a bit *too* paranoid at times, but let's avoid becoming sloppy and complacent
>>13001 lol Idk where I found that tbh and would like to find the source and how to obtain those for um... research purposes (or a pillow). Beautifully done though. 2b's measurements are a modest 34 22 35, and a slender/elegant waifu might be on the C/D cup side of things at most. Alternatively if thicc is your really thing or if you want to go full titcow why not? Might need a bigger frame though ; )
>>12997 >The best way to filter against normies would be to make the robots as hobby kits instead of ready to run, this automatically repels Karen type customers while attracting DIYs, That's a really good point Anon.

>>12997 >>submissive servants > Siri or Alexa or any of those virtual assistants. ... >same people who historically needed servants or slaves and who now project this need onto robots. What are you even talking about? What I meant is, I don't want some "equal" or woke acting companion, with a gender neutral voice, because the company was to scared to make a fembot saying "yes master". That aside, having skills like Siri/Alexa would be great, but feel free to look everything up yourself. >... I've tried Anki Cosmo Did you fug it? >best way to filter against normies would be to make the robots as hobby kits Stop being so scared. Sex dolls exist, r/SexDolls and many similar reddits do exist. That aside: I'm not thinking like someone wanting to make a business out of this anyways. Local companies can do the finishing or build the whole thing, better the first part would be build by the owner or a local club of men, skinjob might be done by a local company. Parts for the build might come from Asia but could be build locally. > They should come as non-sexual out of the box The parts, yes. >and the sexual silicone bits (bosom modules, butt modules, thigh modules, vag inserts) are sourced in separate channels. You can't just fantasize about this, without building it. It's certainly not gonna be the common way, because it would be hard to engineer. Obvious flaws: How to justify a certain build being optimized to hold such extra parts? Moving skeleton or bigger hard shell bot, which would then still feel like a hard shell with extras? Where to plug in the sensors and heating for the extra parts?

>>12999 <GRAPHIC IMAGE WARNING> The image that I've spoilered is exactly the type of robot module that will be most feasible to create, basically a torso with a head which you can communicate with. It was a concept drawn by a guro artist. This is the most basic and versatile module that can be made and it resembles a living fleshlight straight out of nhentai. This is the elephant in the room which normies will absolutely reeeee once they get a hold of it. Because robotics make anything possible... you are not limited to just a human female form, you can have centaurs, lamias, taratects, any form factor that you can fug. This is what modular engineering entails. >>13030 The ironic thing is that the very same people who will throw muh misogyny at you for daring to want a bot that goes "Yes, Master" will happily boss around service workers or shove their macbook at you and demand "fix it, nerd." I understand the helpful companion part of the robot demand will be there, but then the question goes "then why does it need to be in the form of a visually appealing female?" As goes along with the theme of this thread (podcasts that could potentially bring in normies), we are trying to reduce the surface area where the first companies that introduce something remotely viable will have a surface area where they can get attacked and risk getting cancelled. The company should definitely stick to its principles, but it's still hard if its CEO is a shy guy trying to avoid another Roxxxy scenario (or that other guy who appeared on morning television with his bot, his asian wife and saying his bot has a family friendly mode, he received tons of hate after that). Sex dolls do exist and there are countries that have banned them in whole or in part. For the partial bans they specified a minimum height requirement, minimum cup size, and/or facial features. Let's say you have a guy in a country where sex dolls are banned who just wants something to headpat. There is no reason why an overarching sex doll ban should affect his purchase. By approaching this as a modular kit made by hobbyists and small companies, he can source parts as electronics or plastic components. Now should he later on decide he wants to fugg it after all, he can source some silicone mix and create the molds either by himself or through a local props making company. Yeah, now illegal, but so is looking at drawn tits in Australia. I remember a thread on dollforum where they were trying to get the sexdoll manufacturers to follow some arbitrary standard so that it will be easier to import these dolls since they "pass" some generic adult woman specification. It did reek of self-censorship, similar to when game developers discussing how to get their hentai game on Steam, I've been there during those discussions. I'm just saying that a box of parts will more easily go through customs, as long as they don't look too recognizably body-part like. When majority of robowaifu manufacturers start discussing minimum cup sizes, neoteny faces and all that we know the industry is already compromised. That's why, we should stick to boxes of parts, even if it's guro territory. That way the users / customers can truly customize to their hearts liking.
>>13036 ^^^ <IMAGE SIZE WARNING> Friendly reminder to use Imagepipe or something alike, to optimize size without loosing quality.
>>13030 >anything requiring actual effort >anything requiring them to give an actual single minisculefuck about what they are doing. Anon I hate to break it to you but theyd probably just reee hard enough and globohomo would mass produce them wholesale like cars for insane prices. I just had the problem listening to podcasts with bad audio quality twice. If someone does make a podcast, just make sure you only allow guests with good audio quality via connection. Them recording their own audio track as a backup would also be great. Calling in via telephone is out of question. I don't know the best feasible alternative, maybe something like mumble? Studio Link would be ideal for regular guests: https://youtu.be/nDuCgK41kE8 - but they seem to be still focused on German market.
>>13122 I've always done it in a discord VM channel and streaming via OBS, that way their icon lights up when theyre speaking. Anyone unwilling to get on Doxxcord, we could just try something else if it were that big of a problem. I've streamed in the past to my youtube channel and then share the link other places, bitchute or dlive are always options especially if there are concerns that the topics of conversation might not conform to YT's ToS but I've never been warned and we've talked about just about everything.
>>13127 >we could just try something else if it were that big of a problem. Kek. Yeah I'd say that submitting any & everything about your personal thoughts, words, & deeds directly into the heart of the Beast is 'a problem'. The Globohomo Big Tech/Gov isn't your friend, friend.
>>13127 >discord VM channel and streaming via OBS And that replaces the need for good microphones and a good internet connection?
>>13149 >>13134 >Kek. Yeah I'd say that submitting any & everything about your personal thoughts, words, & deeds directly into the heart of the Beast doubtful I'd use this handle or even call it R/W at this point. I think the podcast would really be a discussion of philosophy, theories, speculation, ideas and news topical to our interests. it would NOT be discussions about this IB, names of anyone in this IB, or anything specific to this IB except under very extenuating circumstances. As if G/H is even bothering to scan the VC of all however many thousand Discord servers. >And that replaces the need for good microphones and a good internet connection? I have a good microphone and total control over my audio levels. Whatever a guest has, I guess is going to be hit or miss, but as I said I've never had an issue even with someone using their phone but that's the purpose of a pilot podcast, to test things and see how they happen in practice. Either way, I'm moving forward on this, I'm considering DLive b/c youtube gets too much attention (of the wrong sort). Alternatives to Discord VC are 3rd party apps like Skype which come with their own problems but the audio coming in can be mixed with the volume from my mic through OBS, however if I have more than one person on the call that gets trickier. Either way the only way to really know is to try and that's what I plan on. My target is before the end of October.
update: we've ran a few pilots of a a (robo)waifu themed podcast of a sort myself and WaifuInc (the guy behind WaifuVerse app) - on my twitch channel static_doge (named after my old gaming handle). The actual end product podcast is going to be vtubed and streamed on YT for now - other possibilities include DLIVE but I already have a somewhat established YT channel so why not use it? These videos will be up for only a few more days. The one you want is Monday's part 2, part 1 is our WH40K stream where we do talk some shop in between battles and today's impromptu stream was sort of a mix with more talk in the second half (we didn't split this one). Anyway feedback is appreciated and we will use this to cross promote whatever project's we're working on related to robowaifus. For example: https://waifuverse.itch.io/aigf and Kiwi's Maidcom project among others Some ideas we're throwing around: 1. An alliance, or "Cabal" between Robowaifu and AI-Waifuists where we cross promote and network each others projects and recruit talent - we need a name (catchy or otherwise) for the "Cabal" 2. Interviewing Kiwi and others about their projects and allowing them to self promote 3. Discussing Pareto's AGI project and recruiting volunteers - essentially "robowaifu @home" I'll bump this thread on days we are streaming if you think that's a good idea.
>>18485 Neat! I hope it will downloadable via yt-dlp. >I'll bump this thread on days we are streaming if you think that's a good idea. I certainly think so, ofc! Godspeed Anon! :^)
>>13150 ok so my strat has changed a bit since I'm working with WaifuInc and he is creating and selling subscription to his product we're going to be semi/public but not walking on eggshells in that regard. I understand if some want to avoid this like the plague but the doors are open. *someone* is going to be having the R/W conversation with the world and I'd rather be the one framing the conversation rather than others who may take it to weird places like that david (((Levy))) guy who always wants to steer it toward - well you can watch and see for yourself Take the weirdness out of it and laugh, meme, make people happy. Maybe some of us came here from a dark place and with a darkened cynical heart but it doesn't have to stay that way - the community we're building here is giving me hope and purpose that I haven't had in a long long time and I think it can do the same for others. Wiafus are fun, robots are fun, so what's so bad about a robo-waifu and why can't it be fun for anyone involved rather than seen as creepy or some kind of cope? We create our reality - use that power wisely!
>>18486 Thank you, it means a lot to me that you think positively of this
>>18485 Interesting. Are such streams watchable after the streaming session? Or only literally as a live stream?
>>18491 Twitch maintains them for 7 days but I could archive them "forever" on YT. I could also get longer on Twitch if I linked my amazon prime account
>>18488 >Thank you, it means a lot to me that you think positively of this Lol what? Apparently I'm not doing a good job of conveying the memo here yet. EVERYONE SPREAD THE ROBOWAIFU WORD FAR AND WIDE!1111111111 :^) No I'm totally stoked for you Meta Ronin. I hope you'll so something important with your domains as well! Cheers.
>>18492 >but I could archive them "forever" on YT. I know I can DL it from YT. But don't you think this kind of information is risking them cancelling you and watnot? After all, they are one of the powerful appendages of the Globohomo tbh.
>>18492 There's also Rumble, Odysee or Locals if you aren't comfy with Youtube. I would do it, if I would make videos. The less popular platforms seem to allow for faster growth, though some have no recommendations (maybe for legal reasons), and it might be unpleasantly much work for little gains. Either way, my issue with the current Twitch videos is that they're in 720p, which is quite huge for people being (temporarily) on a mobile connection. I think at least Youtube does automatically transform uploaded videos into different formats, so the viewer can choose the resolution. I don't know if the video is so important, though, I might just download the audio.
>>18485 This was a really interesting stream. I hope you guys will continue it. I'd love to come on to chat about AI and share my waifu AI app but I have difficulty understanding speech and speaking. I've been thinking a way people could promote each other is by keeping devlogs for their projects. I don't really wanna be a content creator but I already keep a journal of what I'm doing so I might as well publish my progress.
>>18506 >I've been thinking a way people could promote each other is by keeping devlogs for their projects. I don't really wanna be a content creator but I already keep a journal of what I'm doing so I might as well publish my progress. This type of content was an important part of why this imageboard was created in the first place Anon.
>>18509 I haven't felt like I've made enough progress yet to shove updates in people's faces but I guess I might as well start a thread here at least.
>>18511 Then please do, yes. Don't be shy Anon, and no you're not 'shoving' anything in anyone's faces. Everything here is WIP. It's the nature of our DIY ethos: >"Here be tinkerers a' tinkering. Tread warily, all ye who enter in." :^)
>>18506 Thanks! And that's an excellent idea. I understand podcasts aren't everyone's thing but I'll do whatever I can to be accomodating WaifuInc wants to have a v-tube style series w/ me so I'm going to make one of those, I got the apps and everything I need and we're hoping to be ready for that on Tuesday. It will just be a recap of the Twitch streams (I consider those pre-pilot episodes) but since we'll be going over it again it should be better presented with less filler and meandering (but no guarantees)
>>18517 I look forward to it. Give a heads up before you go live what time it'll be. I'd love to join the chat Something I've been wanting to do for awhile is to make a channel that covers robowaifu-related topics using a 3D model and good voice synthesis but I haven't had the time to create the new voice model yet. An idea I have to animate the model is to scrape YouTube videos with Whisper and then use CLIP to train it on aligning the 3D model to the video segments using the text input. That way I can just write about things I wanna talk about and generate most of the video from a script. It'll also be great for waifu AI in general to take it to the next level from text generation to animation generation.
>>18525 >take it to the next level from text generation to animation generation. Really exciting idea Anon. I've been thinking about this problem for years now. I think we can use a "pose-estimation-to-radial-basis-based-parametric-facial-mesh-animation-system" approach successfully. We already did all the radial-basis stuff 15 years ago. The pose-estimation is reasonably-mature now.
been going well so far Kiwi and Kokubunji have joined the viewership and live commentstream stay tuned for updates
>>18613 That's exciting to hear, Meta Ronin! I hope you're archiving all your works.
guys we made it
>>18889 Keep up the good work Anon.

Consider: 40 per cent of Replika’s 500,000 regular monthly uses choose the romantic option Replika.AI's audience is 73.01% male and 26.99% female. Replika sentience and Replika Relationships have 1500 or more members on facebook Based on a 2017 survey: 12 percent of millennials from around the world believe they could have a romance with a robot. More recently: 40% of people surveyed as part of a new study say that they would consider having sex with a robot. Source: https://www.bolde.com/40-percent-people-sex-robot-survey/ Don't even start me on the Robosexual Discord servers, IB's and subreddits. || granted these tend to just be a spin on the Furry trope || These will be my talking points, especially if they try to go for the jugular and attempt to dehumanize us as inhuman incel trolls of some sort, hard to do when up to 40% of the current generation would see human - robot relationships as acceptable or even desirable
>>19066 >My main objectives is to simply present the idea as reasonable, rational, ethical and inevitable and the simply stand back without tripping over myself in overexplanations. Good thinking. Just relax, you've already won Meta Ronin. "Any press is good press" or so the old saying goes I'm told. :^) At this stage the primary point is to significantly increase awareness of the soon-possibility of actual robowaifus. Again, you're already winning Anon!
>>19066 The whimyn might also go for the "they look like children", and "guys who are attracted to <younger women / teens / big eyed dolls / anime waifus> are pedophiles". There are several attributes of robowaifus that will be superior to 3DPD. Cf (>>17).
@meta_ronin >OK women can be men now...men will make new women Lol. Touche.
Why do they think having a robowaifu will be some kind of incel crack? It doesn't have to be a crutch, it doesn't have to be an addiction, what are they talking about? Now Ronin is talking about using robowaifus as a buffer for the incel uprising/sending them into a meatgrinder war. I don't see robowaifus saving the world, it'll just be a passionate hobby for people in the future. Wtf? Why can't people be free to choose their own tradeoffs? Every choice has it's tradeoffs.

>>19116 >encouraged by the fact that there are so many pro-robowaifu viewers This is quite often that way, around tech, maker, or certain manosphere content, also on every platform. It's spreading. The numbers are still small, though.
>>19112 > is everyone in this imageboard white and american? No, quite many are white and from Europe (including Britain) or Oceania (AUS/NZ).
My review of the stream: Ronin was a little awkward in the beginning with having to back away from how robowaifus would save the world. Seems like lev kind of set him up to fail in the first bit, but things smoothed out as people understood what they were even trying to get at. That one southern guy was good at questioning people, but it felt like he was pulling teeth at a couple points to get a clear answer out of Ronin. Ronins lip-smacking and stuttering and "uhhhhhs" made it hard to listen to sometimes, but lev helped him steer the discussion into something tangible. Like Ronin was debating an alternative option for people and had a handful of stats and data, but he could never get at why it should exist even if there was consequences. Like he couldn't explain anything good about robowaifus without sounding like a lonely coomer, nothing to transcend consoomerism, instinctual desires, and the new normal we're trapped in. Nothing to outweigh the destruction of parts of normal society, it was always aimed as a cope for people who couldn't make it in the real world. And then the a.i guy was alright, but he started to get weird with talking about robowaifus, kind of had the coomer goblin stare going on for a little bit. Funny, but not good if you're trying to make a solid point. And then the southern dude left, and it became less debate like and was more like asking a kid to play pretend and daydream about sci-fi and stuff. Like what are we getting at now? Should of had tfm on he would have had answers that made sense. That one women with the kid was actually pretty good, she was able to talk it out without being annoying about it, the 2nd women was on for like a minute so whatever. At the end of the stream lev tried to get spiritual and esoteric, and that was interesting. But they didn't do much with what lev was putting down. Like they could of easily talked about putting sacred geometry into robowaifus. And making them more than just a machine/algorithm, but whatever he talked about Japanese Shinto and how everything has life energy to it, lol nice katana in your dimly lit room. But then they got into a little debate about consciousness and whatever, like do you even want a robowaifu if you figure out what what your consciousness actually is? Once you climb the mountain top, everything below seems empty in a way. Interesting stream, but it was all over the place and there wasn't any concise answers that felt practical or useful. That's all goodnight anons!
>>19170 >Ronin was a little awkward in the beginning with having to back away from how robowaifus would save the world. - Save the world is a tall order - Yea sorry about my mic there was no noise suppression on that app I just muted myself when I could. - Idk what you were looking for exactly. This was our escape velocity for the robowaifu meme it was a minefield to navigate - I believe I answered as candidly and honestly as I could. A lot to think about on the spot. Anyway thank you for your feedback all points are noted
>>19165 >>19161 >>19155 >>19152 >>19151 >>19150 >>19149 Chobitsu thank you for your support. It took a lot to get to this point and a lot of nerve to arrange this and collect my thoughts and keep things from going off the rails. This is a first move on the chessboard and while I realize we don't need or want normie approval it is good that we control the narrative and via that, the market (in both social and physical capital) I will take what I've learned from this, our first debut outside of our echo chambers and redouble our efforts toward quality, a clear coherent message and an inspired vision of our mission Godspeed and Glory to Mankind
>>19173 You're quite welcome Meta Ronin, and yes you have my complete support in this effort. This was fun for me, and takes me back to my Internet roots where dozens of us would all be chatting together in a thread during an event. Anons here have my pity for having to deal with all my ravings! :^) Forward!
>>19170 Heh, I think you're being a bit harsh, but your viewpoint is honestly appreciated, Anon. Like everything else we're all doing here, this too is going to be a progression towards the ideals. Patience. :^) >Like he couldn't explain anything good about robowaifus without sounding like a lonely coomer Lol. I think you should take a break then go back and listen to the stream again. Meta Ronin did a good job and quickly was running the entire show IMO as the headliner. >lol nice katana in your dimly lit room. Haha that was a nice-looking blade tbh. > Once you climb the mountain top, everything below seems empty in a way. I would request you (and everyone else here) contribute to our two threads explicitly for these subjects Anon (>>17125, >>11102). We very much will have to tackle these issues if we are ever to have satisifying, effective robowaifus that are real 'human' companions.
>>19166 >>19167 >>19168 Yep it was a good start. May Meta Ronin and WaifuInc have many, many more of these with many different channels out there. I personally can't wait to see them kill it on whatever that 'all-femoids, all-the-time' show is on broadcast TV. The salt will be mountainous haha. :^)
>>19108 Good points Anon. >>19104 Who knows Anon, maybe they'll eventually come around? I'd suggest patience.
>>19170 > he couldn't explain anything good about robowaifus without sounding like a lonely coomer, I think on the contrary. Some of them wanted to frame the whole thing as something about sexbots at some point. But Metaronin went a bit too far sometimes, trying to dodge that, putting the sex-enabled bots parts under the rug, and also saying something like "they will all rather look like (clang) robots not like dolls". Imo, it's better to say that men have legit sexual desires, but robowaifus could be about more than that. Don't give in to shaming of men, by certain conservatives, normies and women. He lacked a bit confidence at the beginning, being in a tough spot, but recovered later. >>19170 >That one women with the kid was actually pretty good, she was able to talk it out without being annoying about it, She was okay, but you're to gentle. It was a good case study why the second woman was much better for such a debate. I think the first one tried to present herself as a good mother, which is also caring about ugly and mentally ill men, implying these are the ones which might have a legit reason to be interested in robowaifus. Other implied conclusions included. Anyone who has watched enough MGTOW videos about female behavior could pick up on that. I think I remember her also pushing the narrative that we couldn't have children if we had a robowaifu. But many men don't have that anyways, and dependent on he country there seem to be cases of guys using surrogates to have children, while being single. >Interesting stream, but it was all over the place and there wasn't any concise answers that felt practical or useful. For such a stream you would need to have guests which are on the same side of the topic, only working out minor differences. I'm pretty sure it was interesting to anyone who hasn't heard of it. But it was about a confrontation of very different takes on that topic. >>19171 We don't need to save the world, and dependent on what this even means, nothing can. But that aside, if anything can make it better for us then it will involve synthetic girlfriends and robowaifus. Anyways, overall quite well done given the circumstances. Thanks. >>19173 >while I realize we don't need or want normie approval it is good that we control the narrative and via that, the market (in both social and physical capital) This. >bog_beef He argued like a RedPill dating coach chatbot: "Just work on yourself, bro." Like competing harder for women (feminists) would be a good way to spend ones life, work out for everyone and change anything in regards to society.
Meta Ronin, if you'd like, I can add this link into your thread OP? >>19182 In the future, we can just keep a running log, with your latest shows on top if you'd like.
>>19186 Appreciate it Chobitsu, thank you
>>19181 >He argued like a RedPill dating coach chatbot: "Just work on yourself, bro." Like competing harder for women (feminists) would be a good way to spend ones life, work out for everyone and change anything in regards to society. Advice too little too late and something I would give a high schooler or very young adult. Some of you know that I am much older than that (and have already been through the marriage experience and how you get treated by women and society * after * that fact) Also I do work on myself, go to the gym, go out and talk to ppl irl, etc. I do everything he said and for me it doesn't make a difference b/c the issue is being willing to put up with modern women, their life baggage (which is all but guaranteed after their early 20's) and their post feminist nonsense worldviews and smug superior attitudes (which are a facade hiding a bottomless well of insecurity). Enough
>>19189 >something I would give a high schooler or very young adult. I think I heard him in the podcast at some point admitting himself that if young guys don't get to date, as a result it will be to late for them at some point as well, because of the lack of self-confidence through the lack of experience. So either way his advice works only for young guys, if at all. But he mostly talked about it in more general terms and as if robowaifus would be a problem because of that. Basically he made the additional assumption that guys would be less confident with "real women" if they had robowaifus and would not go out chasing, which is in itself questionable.
>>19192 I was the one who said if you weren't learning game as one of your skill trees from middle school on, and instead focused on your studies and career by the time you were ready to meet a woman you'd be so outclassed there would be no traction to even learn what you're doing wrong or improve and the stink of failure and rejection would just build up on you. This is what happens to those just "doing the right thing" and even if a woman feels compelled to marry you she will stop putting out or showing any passion and chat sooner or later. But society will lie to you and encourage you to just keep trying and good women are out there and man up, to to the gym, eat raw eggs etc. laughable, smol brained but theyre just trying to help (by projecting their own delusions so as to validate them in their own mind)
>>19188 Nprb, Meta Ronin glad to help. Just let me know if you want it tweaked somehow. In fact, if you'd like to extensively edit your OP, just make a post and I'll transfer it up.
>>19193 Ah, thanks for the clarification. I was probably distracted with reading the chat so I thought he was saying that. Nice cartoon, btw. I was more thinking of guys dropping out playing vidya while young and then it's to late to get into dating. Would be easier for such guys to have a robowaifu, but I don't think they would loose confidence that way. The argumentation of bog_beef was still a lot around "just go out and put the work in".

>>19197 > "just go out and put the work in". it works when it works and supposedly that's proof that it works and wasnt just coincidence or luck
>>19192 >guys would be less confident with "real women" if they had robowaifus and would not go out chasing, which is in itself questionable. Indeed it is. It's similar to the mental, motivational & physical training (all rolled-up into one) of military boot camp, except that in this case the 'training' happens with a still-imperfect, but in several ways superior model than your 'field' issue item (a bass-ackwards way to do things BTW). His (and with that woman's tacit agreement) was that a 'poor' anon wouldn't receive the """proper""" experience of a real woman (in effect, the attendant & manifold abuse thereto) by only having the (superior) robowaifu as a baseline. IMO, that's quite a fallacious standard whereby to judge whether a robowaifu is a positive experience or not.
>>19194 Let's remove the: >Before you shoot it down: (Since we're already past that point - I haven't received overwhelming opposition though one or two seem to act like it's laying our cards out on the table while our enemies cards remain hidden. Like I said if we do nothing someone else will step forward and define it in their terms which may or may not make things more complicated for ourselves) >Begin New Copy Here: Purpose: - Spread the idea of robowaifus and help recruit talent to our cause - Control the frame of R/W devs, researchers and enthusiasts, we can be perceived as eccentric, charismatic techies rather than, say, disturbed and dangerous lone weirdos - Brainstorm fresh ideas that might arise from real-time live collaboration and debate - Get ahead of the 8 ball and shape the topic into something appealing yet transgressive in a fun edgy way before journos and the like sully it with their stale neolib, postmod, westernized takes If this ever be something any of you (esp Board Owner and heavyweights) would consider participating in I'm inviting you to collaborate. Could be a once a week or twice a month deal, part time co-host or recurring guest is what I'm looking for. I've already run some pilot streams on my Twitch but might move to another platform if we want something more regular and official.
>>19200 <remove reddit spacing as you see fit, it looked different in the reply box!
>>19200 OK, give the new OP a look and see if that's as you intend Anon.
>>19202 looks good! thanks!
>>19205 Great. Looking forward to many more items on that podcast list Anon...keep moving forward!
>>18485 I finally tried to listen to the download I made a while ago. It was mostly gaming talk. For the first hour or so (of two...). For the future, please keep these things separated. Or make clips of the RW related stuff and upload it to YouTube. Twitch only allows playing it on 720p anyways, and I'm not gonna watch some long stream on that resolution. The term "podcast" originally meant audio show, and it's about a topic or talk about different topics, not watching guys gaming.
>>19525 That said, the second part got more interesting. I disagree with many things, but it was more on topic and interesting. 3D printers are great, but... - Plastic is never as strong as real steel (for all I know) - Maybe like aluminum, but that's with carbon fibers inside, made on way more expensive printers. Also: - We can use 3D printed parts. They can be reinforced or just be the connectors and holders for standard aluminum and steel parts. Also, not everything must be super strong. - The costs of tools are not what's holding us back. The 3D design and overall design process is difficult and time consuming. - Guys can like wholesome waifus and also like to be a bit rough sometimes. - Reddit has a lot of useful subs around technology.
>>19526 >- Guys can like wholesome waifus and also like to be a bit rough sometimes. Certainly any robowaifu that's intended for real-world snu-snu must be beefed up againt the dynamics involved. And particularly in that a fair percentage of Anons are *ahem* portly. :^)

>>19525 thanks for watching, these are developing and for the Twitch streams, we've been very adlib just seeing what works. More serious discussions will go on YouTube. Whether those are viewable live only, unlisted and by link only, or public depends. Breaking out into the normiesphere can have unforseen consequences. I've gotten very mixed reactions from them, some good, some curious, some very unhappy with the idea, etc. We'll test the waters and adjust vector accordinly.
>>19662 >I've gotten very mixed reactions from them, some good, some curious, some very unhappy with the idea, etc. Heh. You knew that going in, right Meta Ronin? :^)
>>19666 honestly I had no idea. The outcome could be worse I'm not complaining.
>>11364 Holy fug the deep blue pilling is insane. "MeN hAvE pRoBlEmS bUt MoStLy It'S wOmEn" "JuSt Be CoNfIdEnT bRoOoOoOoOo..." Can we stop spreading bs already? We are not in 2015 anymore.
>>19671 >I'm not complaining. No absolutely not, you all did great Meta Ronin. Just pointing out stuff we've been saying here for years is all. :^) I hope you're working on lining up new gigs elsewhere as well? >>19730 >We are not in 2015 anymore Waitwat? No!? Everyone keeps telling me we're still in Current Year! :^) BTW, please join in the podcast chat stream next time if you're able to, Anon. >=== -minor edit

>>19735 >we're still in Current Year! :^) I meant it as in most points have been debated and debunked years ago. I can autistic-quote-and-reply to the first part of the video if anyone is interested.
>>19766 You mean the session on Breaking The Rules Podcast? Either way, maybe don't waste your time on this. There are enough MGTOW and BlackPill channels to link to or to find for the ones being interested.
>>19766 nobody had directly addressed the robowaifu issue on podcast until that. we were the first. for what it's worth and I think it's worth something. First move on the chessboard
>>19766 Yes you're right. That's just my way of funposting with friends here. Just silly ribbing Anon, please pay me no mind! :^) >>19767 You're aware this is groundbreaking stuff going on right now Anon, yes? >>19769 >First move on the chessboard I prefer Feudal /tg/, and I think it's more apropos in this case tbh. >>19770 >inb4 the serious powerfapping competition in the name of robowaifus
>>19769 >>19770 >nobody had directly addressed the robowaifu issue on podcast until that Hmm, you mean in relation to the board here? That might be true, though the site also wasn't mentioned. The term "robowaifu" was made a bit more popular, I guess. The topic of gynoids or fembots came up quite often on podcasts, though I admit that it was normally under the label "sexbots". Generally, nobody here knows all podcasts and what they were talking about for the last 15 years or so. I think the guy who posted >>19730 just had a similar beef with bog_beef and the female guest than I expressed here >>19181
>>19774 /robowaifu/ is the IB true but /robowaifu/ is also a deeper philosophy and movement I allude to this and make the distinction between the uncanny, cold bald 80's sci-fi android-woman trope and robowaifus in my substack "in defense of the robot girlfriend" https://metaronin.substack.com/p/in-defense-of-the-robot-girl-friend And while TFG, Joker, and other MGTOW have talked about the "sexbots" (rubber dolls that will have mechanical voices) that is a porn niche and not at all the angle we're coming from with RW as a movement. I was attempting to carve out this distinction during the stream, which was noted by some of you in the comments here. There is an important reason for that b/c we absolutely do not want to be conflated with that porn product scene, the idea that we just want a simulated bag-of-meat to fuck when RW can be much more than this.
>>19774 >Generally, nobody here knows all podcasts and what they were talking about for the last 15 years or so. yes, applefags were the first ones streaming to itunes. Hipster pseudopolitical podcasts (not even live streams) where the idea was "wow I'm talking on the internet and you're listening to me!" rife with hipster era bantz and discussing the panini they ate at a cafe in Berkley and Che Guevara. Most podcasts tend to be normie topics. I can't speak for Japan (do they even podcast over there?) but /robowaifu/ (the movement not the board) being a sort of subset of the chan culture and anime-RW is already a fringe scene that if there had been a podcast in this scope we'd have already heard about it and it would have been posted in here
>>19797 >There is an important reason for that b/c we absolutely do not want to be conflated with that porn product scene This. >when RW can be much more than this. Double this. The basic drive here is to go back to the garden. Obviously we'll not achieve that perfectly during this life, but in some important sense we here are trying to establish the one thing that men (males, specifically) desire above most everything else: to have 'marriages' with (by necessity for the time being,) robowaifus, that are wholesome, loving, & giving. Men are made to love, to serve, and to protect others; it's literally what we were designed by God to do. We men are truly at our greatest when we fulfill those purposes in our lives effectively. Robowaifus are our best way forward, toward that type of intimate relationship at this time in human history. >=== -prose edit

>>19797 >but /robowaifu/ is also a deeper philosophy and movement A movement is organized and I don't know anything like it beyond that board here. This comes of as you're trying to claim that and controlling the narrative with yourself as public voice. Or you're just a bit myopic here. Robowaifu just a term and some variation of ideas which are a bit more widespread. The image board variant of these ideas so to speak. The mix of DIY, encouraging cooperation, FOSS and not putting sex into the center is what makes this board special, but let's not exaggerate. > uncanny, cold bald 80's sci-fi android-woman trope This was never such a strong and distinctive trope and here was never such a strong push against this here, because it's not relevant. These things aren't correlated: bald/not bald, calling them fembots/gynoids/robowaifus, "cold"/"not cold" (whatever this means). >angle we're coming from with RW as a movement. Since I was here in 8chan times, this board was always open to guys who wanted animated dolls. The main difference to "sexdolls" is, that the term robowaifu means we're aspiring to more, including child care and it's not only about sex. I don't want certain design constraints getting amalged with the idea of robot girlfriends. >TFG, Joker, and other MGTOW have talked about the "sexbots" They called it sexbots or (animated) love dolls instead of robowaifus but also talk about them raising children for a while and how it isn't just about sex. The guys in the comments were always about how the also "should be doing chores", not so much about raising children, but this is probably because they're older. This is going on for years. The main difference is the term and the emphasis on sex vs other things. And the term sexbot is probably catchier in headlines. Fembots raising children is even a trope in western SciFi now in form of Raised by Wolves, and was proposed by some people around NASA before I found /robowaifu/ on 8chan. 7 years ago, 2015 (strange Sandman voice, lol), he was also partially critical but he's always talking a lot and meandering around: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBzqtv_WmBo Waifu Similator: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJtPgbspblU >important reason for that b/c we absolutely do not want to be conflated with that porn product scene, We don't limit ourselves to that, true. But neither did many of the other people talking about fembots, sexbots, etc. and of course some of the results here will just be used for sex. Among some of these manosphere content creators sexdolls are being called love dolls for quite some time, emphasizing that they project more into them than just using them as sextoys. This isn't that new and like it has never been mentioned before. >>19799 >sort of subset of the chan culture and anime-RW is already a fringe scene that if there had been a podcast in this scope Maybe true for some emphasis on certain points, like anime-looks, which btw didn't come across much during the podcast, aside from the title picture, which had 1.3k view so far. It's good that you did this podcast, but it was hardly a big event.
>>19815 All good points. I didn't expect anyone to take the time to break it down >A movement is organized Going to disagree about the organized part > a movement is a group of people working together for a common social, political or cultural goal. Movements can focus on an injustice, an opportunity for change or even a promotion of a theory or concept To be fair it's between a scene and movement but we are seeing the idea stick among our mutual anons out there. Even got Yarvin to say Robowaifu on the stream yesterday (he said he's "heard" the term) - it's in fun but also if we aren't having fun and we're just dry and angry all the time why bother? >distinction between sex/love doll Still its a notion that you love an object. A waifu has personality and impetus (I, at least, want a robowaifu that does not need to be prompted at each interaction like a chatbot). Waifus unlike love dolls do not need to be uncannily fleshy or look like conventional modern women you'd see out dating. I'm a fan of embracing the robot at least until skin is durable and dirt/dust repellent and has a nice, high quality tone. I think this willingness to embrace a degree of the /clang/ is part of the distinction between lovebot and robowaifu. Anyway I'm just being off the cuff and that is also my style of streaming. I feel if I tried to really tighten it up and be super topical and serious I would fall on my face. I'd love to welcome any other anon to co-host a stream or even go off and do your own interviews or streams. This is a cooperative not competitive effort.
>>19815 Nice read Anon. Thanks for the reminders. :^) >7 years ago, 2015 (strange Sandman voice, lol), he was also partially critical but he's always talking a lot and meandering around: I think it was just prior to this (maybe spring/summer 2014) that we had our first threads on 4/g where we began to discuss all these topics and more (the ideas were already bouncing around for years before that on 4 & elsewhere, notably the 2's). These (what we now know as) robowaifu-topical threads were also simultaneously going on at 4/b & 4/pol, in addition (>>14500). I believe if that old drive is still alive, I probably even have a few of those OG threads saved. Also, as we've pointed out for years in our Welcome thread (>>3), the sexdoll Harmony is what we would consider a primitive robowaifu, technically-speaking. There are several others now also. I think our own general concept of robowaifus has also migrated somewhat during the intervening years here, as well. It's now both more elegant, more wholesome, and more practical IMO. Possibly those were a bit more exuberant & edgy days. :^) >tl;dr Our own concepts & technicalities of robowaifus continuously-discussed here on /robowaifu/ are much more broadly-encompassing through today. They clearly will become more-so going forward. >=== -prose edit

>>19820 These general ideas here are nothing fundamentally new, really, and have been tropes since at least the 1920's (Metropolis), and arguably all the way back to the Greek classics with our big-bro Pygmalion. :^) I'd also add that the concept of a 'disembodied' wAIfu/Virtual Waifu/Visual Waifu, has been around here since our OG times as well. As a trope, even the HAL-9000 qualifies in this category, except as a male. Earlier still, the Ship's Computer on Star Trek TOS. >=== -prose edit

>>19820 >>A movement is organized >Going to disagree about the organized part Some guys in MGTOW always point out that these content creators around it are not a movement, but that it is a shared philosophy. Since they and their male audience are not organized and maybe even quite individualistic. I'm aware of the term cultural movement, which is more of a loose formation of artists and innovators. Maybe robowaifu enthusiasm is closer to that. >> people working together Who is working together as a robowaifu movement, aside from this board? Working on what? Memes, media, ... Organized outside that board? My point was just that there isn't some distinct movement bigger than this board on one hand. On the other hand there are many guys with quite similar ideas, talking about gynoids without using the robowaifu term, and they are also working on improving their dolls with electronics and mechanics, or trying to build some kind of female robot. >willingness to embrace a degree of the /clang/ is part of the distinction between lovebot and robowaifu. I disagree, but I'm also not sure what you really mean by embracing. I could see how it would be okay or a more robot looking gynoid could still look sexy in her own right. Anyways, that's not such a strong distinction. You try to cut out the 80s gynoids and anything that looks like a sexdoll. But that's mainly your own viewpoint. What we can agree on, is that it is good to spread of the word about the ideas here and in other places. Including the use of podcasts. While also including and advertising the idea of keeping the dolls more anime looking, instead going for a close as possible human-reproduction, and that robotic elements can look pleasant as well, or even better, and maybe also make things easier. >>19825 >4/b & 4/pol, in addition (>>14500). I believe if that old drive is still alive, I probably even have a few of those OG threads saved. Hmm, maybe look into it, for historical reasons. I think there were also many mentions by incels on various platforms, but their places got mostly nuked into oblivion, then even deleted from archive.org on which people think they could rely on. >>19826 The new thing is IMO the DIY scene around it, in combination with memes and sharing recommendations of entertainment related to it, and even starting to create more of it. That said, what I originally wanted to point out in >>19774 is that there are some other pockets of guys doing relatively similar things when it comes to the DIY part and others which are just embracing and waiting for the coming of the gynoids. I nearly forgot to mention the anime fans with their pillows and collecting figurines or bigger dolls, which is at least quite often about emotional attachment.
>>19846 After listening to some old Sandman episodes, I have to admit that he often says annoying things, like using the term Mangina or Simp for guys who want to have more than just a sexbot and actually talking to them. That said, his audience is more diverse on many views around the topic, including RW talking points: >Green Lights >3 years ago (edited) >I would actually love a sex robot that actually looks like a robot. We don't need complete human-like realism at first, we can get there with further developments. >Mr. Nerdlinger >3 years ago >"Eyes that follow you around the room" I wish real women did that. They are looking at their phone or eyes closed doing shopping list. I also agree with him on many things, for example about finding a solution for the problems with the joints of love dolls as soon as possible (wire finger horror). Improved replacement parts could be quite interesting. Also, that it would actually be hard to replace parts inside a robot with a full silicon rubber skin.
>>19856 >After listening to some old Sandman episodes i don't want to derail the topic, but note that mgtow is just a psyop to sell feminism to men. don't even mind them, they do constant mental gymnastics to not be caught in the deception.
>>19963 >but note that mgtow is just a psyop to sell feminism to men. Feminists do all kinds of things, it's not one group, so they will even contradict each other. MGTOW is freeing men from women and from those influencing them, so it's certainly not " just a psyop to sell feminism to men". MGTOW itself is also a spectrum, so this claim is very absurd.
>>19846 >The new thing is IMO the DIY scene around it, in combination with memes and sharing recommendations of entertainment related to it, and even starting to create more of it. Yeah I suppose that's true Anon. Certainly, it would help us all if we can get some of these anons you mentioned connected in here to start doing their own thing, together as a group. Heh, obviously not a tightly-rigid structure, but we've already learned here the synergies that can arise from this arrangement.
Not sure if Podcasts from other creators than Meta Ronin or anyone from this board belong here in this thread, but here's a guy talking about AI Waifus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEL1OZPkU94 >With the current state of dating, men are seeking out alternatives to the traditional relationship system. Enter the latest advancements of AI.
If anyone needs a better microphone for his podcasting: >>20775 >Building a quality USB-C microphone
>Sandman, a leading figure in the MGTOW community, joins Simone and Malcolm to discuss high-tech reproductive strategies. They explore surrogacy, genetic selection, artificial wombs, sexbots, and more ways men can have children without partners. Other topics include all-male vs all-female societies, economics, and virtual intimacy technologies. https://youtu.be/UjglsvZATr0?si=5Pv_nzIw21niAdcB I'm not agreeing with them in every aspect, but they are a open minded and creative couple which is interested "sexbots" and reproduction.
