Moral conundrum thread
WWJLPD
What would Jean Luc Picard do?
In this thread we post and discuss moral conundrums that we can encounter while exploring the galaxy.
So you finally have the chance to rid the galaxy of one of it's worst scourges - the Borg. Fool proof concept: hack one guy that infects all the others. Boom - the Borg are no more. Just as you are about to pull the trigger the female doctor - who is only on the ship because her good-for-nothing-husband died under your command and you felt bad about it so you gave her a cushy job in hope she'll never get on your nerves again - starts moralfagging about how genocide is not cool while conveniently forgetting that the Borg did exactly that to tens of thousands of worlds and billions of people.
Was it right to cave in to her bitching and letting the most dangerous and destructive force in the galaxy off the hook or should you have manned up, wiped out the Borg and given that broad a good over the knee spanking til her cheeks glow as red as her dyed hair?

Lower Decks
I guess the show that the hacks from Midnight's Edge and Doomcuck thought that it didn't exist... is still a thing and it's coming out on CBS All Access.
It's Reddit & Morty but with the Starfleet logo.

Infinity Cup poll
Hey guys, /icup/ here with a question on how we're going to handle the next iteration of the Infinity Cup (
https://anon.cafe/icup/ )
We're trying to poll whether certain boards are interested in playing in the cup, or if there's some specific team that you'd like to see play. If you want to, please answer or add your own answer to the poll in

If Star Trek is set in the future how come there is no anime in it?
Did the Federation ban anime because no one would ever leave the holodeck? Was there ever an episode on any show that showed animation of any kind?

Cardassian Appreciation Thread
Fellow citizens, I ask you a simple question. What makes Cardassia great? Is it perhaps our martial prowess? True our military proves itself second to none but it is not. Perhaps it is the well discipline Cardassian mind? No problem cannot be solved with such a mighty instrument but it is not that. Maybe it is our fine oratory skills? While I could listen to our most greatest speakers rouse the very fire within our Cardassian souls it is not our greatest gift. No fellow Cardassians, let me tell you what makes Cardassia great, duty. Duty to the State. No matter how petty or grievous our squabbles may be with one another, when great adversary is at our doors we all put aside our differences and show selfless devotion to the Cardassian State. In the history of Cardassia, not one citizen has ever truly betrayed the Cardassian State. It is our most beautiful attribute and that is what makes Cardassia great.
Long live Cardassia!

BOSS♂OF♂THE♂ALPHA♂QUADRANT
Here at the Cardassian Science Ministry we managed to uncover a part of old Earth history and decided to investigate by allowing several unsophisticated alien cultures to view it and observe their reaction. The results were varied dependant on what culture viewed this piece, here are some of the comments below:
Humans
>This is a reminder of our uncivilized past, it has no purpose in our enlightened Federation!
Vulcans
>A fascinating study on a clash of different philosophies and logic, this warrants further investigation!
Ferengi
>I don't get these hu-mans and their old culture but if the Vulcans want to pay top latinum for more who am I to argue?
Romulans
>Why did they not part ways in a spirit of mutual corporation before arranging for their opponent to die from “natural causes” in their sleep?
One of the most profound impacts this piece was the appreciation it found within Klingon culture. When shown to the Klingons they admired it deeply, citing that it was a great depiction of a glorious struggle between two young warriors from great houses. It was not long before they started singing songs of this fight over the old human gym. Some Klingons even cite that it is as if humanity had depicted the struggle between Kahless and Morath itself and this piece was evidence of the Klingon warrior spirit finding new ways to reveal itself across the galaxy. Such is Klingon appreciation of this ancient human “art” that they are now leading further investigations themselves into retrieving any lost data and have commissioned a supposed great opera in both honor and to show it in it's fullest glory.
While no other culture could ever hope to match the sophistication of Cardassian works, we at the Science Ministry will make it our duty to investigate further the disruptive influences of xeno history.

Infinity Cup
Anons,
As that one anon that's been working on the Infinity Cup for all this time, I feel like the boards that were set to participate deserve a bit better than radio silence. For those that aren't caught up or need a quick rundown:
>The Infinity Cup is a virtual soccer(football[divegrass]) tournament, with its roots dating back to the earliest days of 8chan
>It takes place in Pro Evolution Soccer (PES), a virtual soccer franchise from Konami
>I took on the responsibility of organizing the 5th iteration of the Cup back at the beginning of this year
>Over months, I learned how to mod PES to put in each board's respective team and run simulated games between them
>Using pre-existing guides (many not in English) I also learned how to mod the game from an aesthetic and quality of life standpoint, including crowds, referees, stadiums, balls, and even rudimentary player models
>24 boards agreed to participate, and the Cup was scheduled to begin August 9th
>On August 4th/5th, we received word that 8chan was losing its host, the site went down relatively shortly after
>With no site and no functioning central hub, the Cup was postponed.
>I disappear for about a month
>I return in October
>We still don't have a site, but we do have a webring.
>You are here.
The whole point of this is to see if anyone still cares at this point. There was hype for the Cup. Yes, some boards cared much more than others but there 24 willing boards and we had the resources to run the Cup. I put in probably far more work on my own than any sane person should have, so I don't want this all to go to waste. That being said though, if we set a date, gather the required parties, and begin streaming the Cup and 6 people show up, I'd rather just not do it at all. I'm going around posting this on every participant board that's here on the webring and I'll try to get this up on 8kun somehow. In the meantime just post in here so I can get a sense of interest from you.

The /strek/ Guide to Alien Species: The Irish
The Irish are one of the worst plagues on the Alpha Quadrant intent on spreading their troubles to every world they immigrate to.
While your average Irishman has never worked a hard days work in their life, they are happy to jump on a nickel what a nigger does for a dime what the white man used to get a quarter for. They will also spend the majority of their adult life completely intoxicated.
The Irish female will have approximately a litter of at least a dozen and name each child with a series of middle names named after each man she had slept with prior to her infant being born. In the case of a female child, she will name the child after each woman her husband had punched before the child was born. This evidently results in a naming convention that to say an Irish name in full requires several minutes of recital.
You often find the Irish populated around overcrowded slums trying to grow a field of starchy root vegetables that they seem to regard as holy. Irish are often segregated from general populations when possible in the hopes of keeping them enclosed zoos for entertainment purposes and from contaminating society.
In the event that an Irishman manages to break from typical Irish conventions he often finds himself relegated to a life of eternal suffering by choosing to crossbreed with an Asianus Scortillum.

Did the two guys that were rewatching and reviewing TNG episodes make it on here? There was a super-autist who had an Excel spreadsheet for every episode in every series, and a guy doing reviews of TNG specifically who rated Outrageous Okana the best out of all the S1 episodes.
